Love your Blog. Will have to create my own. I did start one but family life and work took over. Now not at work and looking for p/t term time stuff I might (she laughs!) get some time… What with a teenager who thinks he owns the house and I’m the slave he should have had in a past Roman life??? Added to that beating up his 8 year old brother.

    What joy!

Will have to read some of your poetry and post my own “Ode to a redundant secretary”.

Keep blogging and hope family life and especially the job is going well.

    • Hi Helen. Thank you for such a lovely message. I’m glad you like my blog. I enjoy doing it (when I have time) and so when people enjoy reading it that a (huge) extra bonus!!! You should write your own. You’d be amazed how you can manage to fit it into a busy life!!! She says, having not blogged for over a week (am blaming new job – which is going well by the way). If u do start one, send me the link and I’ll subscribe xxx

  2. Hi Abi,

This may sound weird but I was googling things about mood journals and depression and your blog popped up. So far I’m loving it and I’ve also recently started a blog to get things off my chest, I just wanted to say that although our circumstances and lives may be different you aren’t alone. I hope you are doing well and keep up the good work , all my love , Jamie xx

  3. Hello Abi, I contacted you ages ago about creating a WP site for me due to my lack of knowledge. I’ve since joined a forum/community that’s taught me exactly how to build one from scratch, in fact I’m now building several.

Have a look at (both dogs are mine)
    and my other site is

Now before I joined this community, I didn’t get involved with blogging as I had no idea how to do it, now I do, admittedly its a work in progress, but I’ve learned so much from so many people who’ve help me.

My point is, after reading your latest post, you’ve got to keep yourself busy, and do everything and anything you can to keep positive. Keep talking and keep writing.

There’s help out there, not just from professional people but also from fellow bloggers

Anyway, good luck for it and I hope my dog site made you smile
