Problems at school leaving me tearing my hair out

OK I’m not literally tearing my hair out but I am very worried.

Joshua has been getting into trouble at school. It’s always in the playground at break time and he swears he’s not the one starting it. I don’t know whether to believe him or not.

We are in discussions with the school as we have been hearing about this stuff from other parents, not from the school who is the one that SHOULD be notifying us when an incident has occurred.

We are also in the process of getting Joshua referred to see if he is on the autism spectrum. I don’t know if he is, but if we can get extra help for him to try to work through these behavioural issues, then that has to be a good thing.

I heard about the latest issue yesterday afternoon and I asked my parents, who were due to pick him up from school to drop him home instead of taking him home with them. I sat him down and we had a talk. And then we did his maths homework which was overdue (new maths website thing) and then I made him his dinner.

I told him he wouldn’t be playing Pokemon Go on my phone for the rest of the week and when he asked to watch TV I said it couldn’t be Pokemon. In fact we ended up watching The Secret Life of Dogs together as it’s educational and we could enjoy it together.

I honestly don’t know what to do about this problem at school. It seems to get better and then bang! It blows up again. I’m hoping now the school will put some methods in place to stop these problems happening or at least be watching him so they can tell us if he is telling the truth about it never being his fault, or if he’s actually instigating the problems.

In the meantime, I’m going to do some studying and try not to think about it for a few hours!
