Its my birthday

happy_birthday_cake_with_candles-1920x1200Its my birthday today.

Not being a mardy bum or anything, but I don’t feel really that excited. Maybe grownup-dom has finally got me and I’m getting to that stage where you don’t really care anymore. I don’t mind that I’m getting older. I’m 36 today and I don’t feel any older than when I was 35.

I got breakfast in bed this morning with homebaked chocolate croissants (they come in a packet but still a treat to have freshly baked ones). My present from my hubby was my ticket to BritMums Live which I booked late, missing the early bird discount and I didn’t think that I could then go so he paid for the ticket with a view to me paying him back but as that never happened it has become my birthday present. I’m happy with that though as I’m really looking forward to it.

My mum took me shopping on Saturday and bought me quite a few clothes for my holiday that is coming up (we are going on Wednesday next week – less than a week YAY!). And my sister is working on the cover for my eBook – she is doing a sketch of an old photograph of me that I am going to use as my cover. She is going to hopefully send it to me by email today. Its part of my birthday present. I’m VERY excited about that. I’m hoping I can publish the book in the next day or so. Possibly even today as I’m pretty much done with the editing. All I need is the cover.

4 Thoughts on “Its my birthday

  1. Happy Birthday! I’ll be 36 next month, so I’ll see whether grown up humdrum hits me, too! I do tend to enjoy my birthdays, and it helps that my husband’s is 4 days before mine as it sort of becomes a week of good things happening in the house (& he’s a year older than me, so I enjoy those 4 days with our 2 year age gap!!). This year there’s not really anything I want, though, and we’ve no plans, so hoping a little excitement will creep up on me by then. In the meantime, you enjoy your day 🙂

  2. Happy Birthday!!

Hope the sketch looks fabulous, I’m sure it will 🙂
