I have been thinking about creating my own linky for a while as have been joining in with a few and I love it. Its a great way to meet other people in the blogging world and helps to get your blog out there as well as helping other people to do the same.

I wanted to create a linky that is something that I’m passionate about and I came up with this: Mental Health Monday. I’m actually posting this on Tuesday but that’s because it is the first day back to work after the Easter bank holiday and to be quite frank, today feels like a Monday to me (I always struggle with Mondays which perhaps makes it the perfect day to launch this linky).

I’ve suffered from depression from about the age of 15 – I was anorexic around that time and later on indulged in self harming and a lot of my poetry from that time centres around depression so I wanted really to have a chance to shine a spotlight on what it’s like to have depression (not just for me but for others out there who may not feel like they have a voice).

  1. That’s a great idea. Have you heard of a charity called Rethink Mental Illness? They do loads around social media, and might be interested in this. #PoCoLo

  2. Love this idea. I suffered PND with my eldest daughter & have shared some of this on my blog. Raising awareness is a great idea to break the stigma. May just be joining in sometime soon 🙂 Is it every Monday?
